Although the artist, Richard has painted for
many years in his home studio for fun, he only began marketing
his unique talents in 1996. Richard's son Gary had just completed
an internship in Baltimore, MD, had doubled an investment
and wanted to start a business. Despite tremendous resistance
from the artist about how it wouldn't work, would take too
much time, etc, Gary's relentless influence persuaded Richard
to run the very first prints in the summer of 1996.
Later that year, the first Penn State prints
were released and the first art show was held at the Old Main
Frame Shop in State College. After several successful years
of marketing PSU prints and various scenes of the Atlantic
Coast hotspots, it was time to expand into other schools.
Top of the list was the Ohio State University, a school rich
in tradition, alumni size, and a beautiful campus to paint.
Starting in 1999, Ohio State was so receptive to our colorful
prints that in just (2) short years, we released (5)prints
with more to come. Michigan was next on our list. Ann Arbor
and the surrounding Michigan community presents a vast array
of landmarks and traditions. We have (3) prints of Michigan
and plan on doing some more in the near future. Today, Greenleaf
art is licensed by the Collegiate Licensing Company and the
Ohio State University and has over 35 limited edition prints
available. Just released is a collection of famous Philadelphia
landmarks including Boat House Row, Pat's Steaks, and the
Valley Green Inn.
